Create a combat sports media app
Combat sports fan app: MMA and boxing breakdowns reserved for your subscribers
Your readers get the fight card, your pre-fight breakdowns and your post-fight debrief in your own branded app; subscribers open the long reads with a single tap.
Launch an iOS and Android app for your MMA and boxing media, built with no code: free news, breakdowns behind a paywall, subscriptions billed by Apple and Google by the month or the year, fight cards in the agenda and a fight-night notification.
Free 30-day trial - No credit card required

The news for everyone, the breakdowns for subscribers
Results and fight cards stay free; the round-by-round study is reserved
Leave the results, the event cards and the short news open to bring readers in, and keep the long reads for subscribers: the tactical breakdown before a title fight, the judges' scorecards discussed round by round, the prospects to watch. For each locked piece, decide how far a non-subscriber reads before the subscribe screen appears. Subscriptions need a minimum of ten locked pieces, and everyone who pays gets identical access.

Subscribing takes one tap
Readers pay with the Apple or Google account already on their phone
Monthly, yearly or both: readers choose inside the iPhone or Android app, at the price you set per store, and can start with a free trial if you offer one. No card details, no form. On the web version, a button sends them to the app to subscribe; afterwards, they can read on the web too.

Fight night, one notification at a time
The card in the agenda, a push when the main event starts, the debrief the next morning
Publish each event as a fight card in the Agenda section, with the venue and the start time of the main card. Schedule a notification for when the main event begins, and let Automatic push announce your debrief as soon as you publish it. A push can also target a geographic area, for example only the readers in the country hosting the event.

The MMA site with loyal readers
Its pre-fight breakdowns go subscriber-only, and the free results pages bring in new readers after every event.
The boxing columnist with a newsletter
The long pieces move into an app: readers subscribe in one tap on their phone, and a push announces each new column.
The journalist covering fights for several outlets
To showcase their work and bylines, the sports journalist app fits better.
The sports journalist appDebate the decision, not the odds
Moderated comments under each breakdown, and no betting in the app
Open comments under your debriefs and moderate them before or after publication: scorecards get argued over, and you keep your media's tone. The app is a place to read: it takes no bets and shows no odds. What in-app purchase sells is access to your content, nothing more.

Your archive, on demand
“Has he ever fought a southpaw?” The Chatbot digs through the articles you've published and replies in the reader's language; readers without a subscription only get answers based on the free pieces, subscribers on everything.

How much does a combat sports media app cost?
To sell subscriptions you need the native apps: take Premium plus Memberships, or pick Pro, where it's built in. Every plan covers hosting, notifications and updates.
| Premium · native apps and web version | 55€ /month, billed yearly |
| Memberships, with Premium | 49€ /month |
| Pro · Memberships included | 105€ /month, billed yearly |
On every subscription sold, Apple and Google take their cut: 15% in most cases, 30% in a subscriber's first year at Apple outside its small business program. GoodBarber takes nothing. Your developer accounts are billed by the stores.

Combat sports fan app: questions from publishers
Can the app take bets or show odds?
No. The app publishes your articles, videos and fight cards; it takes no bets and displays no odds. The only thing readers can buy is access to your articles and videos.
Can I keep results free and charge for breakdowns?
Yes: lock the breakdowns one by one, ten or more, and choose how much of each a free reader sees before being asked to subscribe.
Can I send a notification when the main event starts?
Yes: schedule a push for the time of the main card, or send it on the spot from the back office. Automatic push then announces your debrief as soon as it's published.
Can I sell a single event on its own, like a pay-per-view?
No: access is sold by subscription, monthly or yearly, with one level for everyone. An article or an event can't be sold separately.
Can readers comment on the fights?
Yes, under the sections where you open comments, with moderation before or after publication.
How many breakdowns do I need before charging?
Ten reserved pieces at least: Memberships asks for that minimum before subscriptions open. Results and short news can stay free alongside them.
GoodBarber turns your MMA and boxing media into a subscription app, with no GoodBarber commission
Free results, reserved breakdowns, adjustable preview, one-tap subscriptions, fight cards in the agenda, push on fight night, moderated comments.
