Every match on the schedule, and an alert before it starts
The Agenda holds the rounds; notifications bring players in on time
Publish each match as an event in the Agenda section: day, start time, the two teams, the game. Switch on Automatic push for that section and each match day sends its own notification. For the minutes that matter, schedule a push yourself fifteen minutes before a round, to all users or only to the players' group. A match pushed back an hour? Edit the event and warn the teams straight away.

Team sign-ups through a form you build
Team name, captain, players' in-game names: you pick the fields
The Form collects each registration: team name, captain's email, in-game names, preferred time slots. Each one lands in your mailbox and in the back office; export the list as CSV and build your bracket in the tournament tool you already use. If you charge an entry fee, it's collected outside the app.

A section only registered players see
Rules, check-in instructions and lobby codes, closed to spectators
Authentication and User groups do the gatekeeping: every player opens an account, and an admin assigns it to the “Players” group in the back office. Anything restricted to that group, such as the full rulebook, the check-in instructions and each round's lobby codes, stays invisible to everyone else. The Chat, also tied to accounts, lets teams and admins talk before a match.

Putting your tournament in the app
Three things to set up before registrations open.
The schedule
One event per match in the Agenda, with its time and teams; add the rounds as the bracket moves forward. The registration form
Choose the fields, make the key ones required and put the form on the tournament's home page. The players' group
Create the group, restrict the rulebook and lobby codes to it, then add each registered player's account.
Replays and live streams in the same app
Your YouTube channel feeds the replays; Live Video carries the stream
A YouTube section linked to your channel shows every video you post there, with nothing to republish: the grand final replay is in the app as soon as it's on YouTube. Live Video plays the feed from your streaming provider inside the app, one way, for spectators watching on their phone.

An app for your tournament, a community chat server or a tournament platform?
Three tools organizers use, often side by side. What each one covers.
| Your app with GoodBarber | Community chat server | Online tournament platform | |
|---|---|---|---|
| An app with your tournament's name in the stores | native iOS and Android | inside the service's app | on the platform's site |
| Brackets and automatic results | no: keep your tournament tool | no | its strong point |
| Notification before each match | automatic or scheduled | mentions in a channel | depending on the platform |
| Space reserved for registered players | User groups | roles and private channels | depending on the platform |
| Replays and live stream in one place | YouTube section and Live Video | links shared in channels | depending on the platform |
| Price | flat subscription | depending on the service | depending on the platform |
AI for the organizer and the players
Three uses, and what each one costs.
To answer
Answers on match times and rules
“What time does our team play on Saturday?” The Chatbot finds it in your Agenda events and in articles such as the rulebook, and replies in whatever language the player writes in.

A map picker for scrims
Type the request in the back office, such as “a random map draw with a ban phase for two teams”, and the AI Extension Builder generates that section in your app.

The next round published from Claude or ChatGPT
Paste the round's pairings into Claude or ChatGPT: through the MCP server, the assistant adds each match to your schedule and drafts the alert. Nothing goes live until you approve.

Extension Store
The extensions an esports organizer relies on. The Chat needs Authentication; with User groups, all three are Premium add-ons and come bundled with Pro. Live Video costs nothing from Premium up.
How much does an esports tournament app cost?
Spectators can follow a web version from the Standard plan. For the store apps, Automatic push and a closed players' section, go for Premium and add Authentication and User groups, or pick Pro, which bundles them with the Chat.
| Standard · web version for spectators | 30€ /month, billed yearly |
| Premium · store apps plus web version | 55€ /month, billed yearly |
| Authentication, with Premium | 12€ /month |
| Pro · Authentication, User groups and Chat included | 105€ /month, billed yearly |
The Chat is a Premium option too. Apple and Google bill the developer accounts, and tournament entry fees stay outside the app.
Esports tournament app: questions from organizers
Can the app generate brackets and update scores?
No. Brackets, seeding and results stay in your tournament tool. The app publishes the schedule round by round, can link to your bracket page and alerts players before each match.
Can players register as a team?
Yes, through a Form: team name, captain, in-game names, availability. You're emailed each registration, and the back office keeps them all, ready for a CSV export.
Can we stream matches live in the app?
Yes, with Live Video: the feed from your streaming provider plays in the app, one way. Replays come through the YouTube section linked to your channel.
How do we keep lobby codes away from spectators?
Keep them in a section only the players' group can open: once a player's account sits in that group, the codes appear for them and nobody else. Spectators keep the schedule, the news and the replays.
Can players chat with each other in the app?
Yes, with the Chat, which runs on the players' accounts: a paid extra with Premium, part of the Pro plan.
Can we charge the tournament entry fee in the app?
No: in-app purchases can unlock content, never a spot in a tournament. Collect fees the way you do today, then move the registered players into their group.
