The archive, period by period

One article per archive piece, with the photos in the reserved paragraphs

Create one article section per period: the eighteenth century, the Belle Époque, the 1920s, the post-war years. Each fashion plate, portrait or photograph becomes an article: the introduction and a first image stay visible, then the full-size photos and their captions (date, source, the detail to look at) sit in the paragraphs reserved for subscribers, on their phone or in a browser.

The story behind each garment

Long reads, with the images inside the text

The crinoline, the little black dress, the zoot suit: your articles tell where a garment came from, with images placed in the text and the author's name at the top. On a locked article, non-subscribers read the introduction, stopping where you decide.

The costume historian

Twenty years of research become a monthly article for subscribers, with the photos of each piece behind the preview.

The heritage association

Its members' collection of garments is photographed and published period by period; the subscription helps fund the next restoration.

The contemporary fashion magazine

For this season's news rather than the past, choose the fashion magazine app, with its current issues and trend reports.

Three fashion historians, three archives

Your archive? Publish a first illustrated article; the trial is free for 30 days, with no card.

Episodes to listen to

Your history podcast, in the same app

Record your stories as audio episodes: they keep playing when the screen is locked, and can be saved for offline listening. Lock the new episodes, or leave them open to draw listeners toward your archive.

Where to see the garments for real

Museums and costume collections on a map

Add a Map section with the museums, collections and exhibitions you write about: address, opening hours, the pieces not to miss. A reader who is traveling finds the nearest one, and your article on that collection is one tap away.

AI for your archive

Three uses and their cost.

A “which decade?” quiz

Picture a quiz that shows a garment and asks for its decade: describe it once, and the AI Extension Builder builds the section, with a link to your article after each answer.

“When did the bustle disappear?”

The Chatbot can answer from your articles and show its sources; images are invisible to it, so put the essentials in the text.

Hand Claude or ChatGPT your notes and photos: through the MCP server, it prepares the article for each piece with your text and images, and asks for your approval before publishing.

Fashion history app: your questions

Can I publish archive photos I did not take?

The app publishes what you upload; clearing the rights to each image is up to you: public domain, a museum's open collections, an agency license or the owner's permission. Credit the source in the caption.

Can I reserve archive photos for subscribers?

Yes, through articles: a gallery section stays visible to everyone, so publish each piece or series as an article and place the photos in the reserved paragraphs, after the preview. Subscriptions open once ten items are locked; a section fed by YouTube or a live broadcast stays public.

Can members of my association get free access?

Yes: from the back office you can gift a subscription manually, for as long as you like. An association that wants a members' area without selling anything should use Authentication and User groups instead; those two setups do not mix in one app.

Can listeners download the episodes?

Yes, episodes can be saved for listening offline, and the sound carries on in the background in the iOS and Android apps.

Can readers suggest a garment or a photo?

Yes, with a Form section: they send a photo and its story, you receive it by email and decide whether to publish it.

What plan does an archive app need?

Premium with Memberships, or Pro, which carries it already. On Standard, which is web only, no subscription can be sold.
