A path in three levels

Beginner, intermediate, advanced: one section per level, modules in order

Organize your teaching like a curriculum: one section per level, each holding numbered modules, from holding a knife properly to a reduced stock. Every module brings together the video, the equipment list and the written method. A single subscription unlocks every level together: students begin wherever they like, and you manage one plan, monthly or yearly.

Techniques, filmed move by move

Brunoise cuts, a stable emulsion, laminated dough: short videos, close to the hands

Advanced techniques make sense when you see them: film them in short sequences and place them in reserved modules, with the key points written underneath. A student replaying the same sequence three times costs you nothing: video traffic is not billed, only storage space follows your plan. These videos stream, so a connection is needed.

World cuisines, module by module

Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, Italy: one section per cuisine, its staples and its techniques

Add a section for each world cuisine: the staples to know, the techniques specific to each tradition, three recipes to practice. The same subscribers get in, with no extra plan. An automatic push announces every new module, with a prefix such as “New module:”.

Opening your online cooking school

Four steps, from the first shoot to the first subscribed student.
  1. The levels

One section per level, and one per world cuisine.
  2. The modules

Shoot and upload at least ten reserved modules; keep one trial module open to everyone.
  3. The plan

Monthly, yearly or both; one rate per store; a free trial, if you decide on one.
  4. The announcements

Each section fires its own automatic alert when a module comes out.

The Sunday live stream, open to everyone

Live Video to show how you teach, with the replay in the module

A live stream can't be reserved, so use it as a way in. On Sunday at 11 a.m., broadcast a recipe live from your usual streaming tool, open to anyone with the app; the following week, the detailed edit joins the reserved module. The stream goes one way, from you to your students, with no video call.

AI working for your students

Three uses, with their price.
To understand

“Why does my mayonnaise split?”

The Chatbot reads the written methods in your modules, never the videos; a student who hasn't subscribed only gets what the free modules say.

To convert

A measures and temperatures converter

For recipes from around the world: cups to grams, Fahrenheit to Celsius. Describe it once; the AI Extension Builder then builds that converter into the app.

The week's modules scheduled from Claude

Through the MCP server, Claude or ChatGPT, the assistant you already have, drives the app: ask it to release Tuesday's module and its push, confirm, and it's done.

Search

Find a technique or an ingredient across every level.

Time-limited modules

Set an end date: the Christmas module disappears by itself in January.

A web version

Once subscribed, students find their modules in a browser.

The chef opening an online school

Three levels of video modules, a Sunday live stream to get known, the yearly subscription put forward.

The neighborhood cooking workshop

In-person sessions are booked and paid outside the app; the app sells access to the videos for practice at home.

The blogger with detailed recipes

If you publish recipes rather than a curriculum, a recipe collection sold by subscription suits you better.
Recipes behind a paywall

Three schools, three ways to teach in the app

Yours? Film and publish a first level during your trial month: it's free.

How much does a cooking school app cost?

Premium gives you the native apps; to sell access to the modules, take the Memberships option, or move to Pro, which contains it. Neither live streams, nor alerts, nor video traffic make the bill heavier.
Premium · the school on mobile and in the browser55€ /month, billed yearly
Memberships, on top of Premium49€ /month
Pro · Memberships already there105€ /month, billed yearly
On each subscription, Apple and Google take their share, GoodBarber nothing. Developer accounts are billed by the stores.

Online cooking course app: frequently asked questions

What is a culinary techniques app?

An app that teaches cooking moves on video: knife work, cooking methods, sauces, doughs, with the written method alongside. With GoodBarber, each technique becomes a module, sorted by level and reserved for subscribers, except the ones you leave open.

Can I sell the beginner level on its own?

No: everyone who subscribes gets the same access. The subscription opens every level and every world cuisine; your levers are the billing period, monthly or yearly, and the free trial.

Can my in-person workshops be paid for in the app?

No. The subscription sold in the app opens videos and recipe sheets, not a seat at a workshop; that is booked and paid outside the app.

Can a student follow a module offline?

No, the videos need a connection. Traffic is not billed, even for long modules; storage depends on your plan.

Do world cuisines need a separate plan?

No: one section per cuisine, opened by the same subscription as the levels.

Which GoodBarber plan for an online cooking school?

Either Premium with the Memberships option, or Pro, which ships with it. Selling also requires a running web version, attached to a domain that belongs to you.
