The evening appointment, scheduled

At 9:30 p.m., a notification suggests tonight's story

Prepare your notifications ahead of time, with their day and hour: “Tonight: the lighthouse in the snow, 18 minutes”. Send them to everyone, or aim by status: a new release flagged to subscribers, a free story offered to those who have not yet taken the step.

A library arranged for the night

Slow stories, guided relaxations, rain on the roof: sorted by length and by mood

Each story goes into a Podcasts section, with its length and mood. Keep a few free for the first nights and lock the rest, ten pieces of content at least. Monthly or yearly, one and the same subscription gives access to the whole library.

An evening with your app

What the listener goes through, from the notification to sleep.
  1. 9:30 p.m.

The evening message announces tonight's story.
  2. In bed

They open the app, in the dark tones you chose, and start the story.
  3. Screen asleep

The phone locks, your voice carries on.
  4. No network

The story downloaded the day before plays even in airplane mode.

Designed for a dark screen

Playback that goes on in sleep mode, offline stories, a design that doesn't dazzle

On iPhone and Android, a Privacy Center setting lets the sound carry on while the device sleeps. Added to bookmarks, a story downloads: the listener finds it offline, when traveling or in airplane mode. And you pick a dark palette for the whole app, so the screen wakes nobody up.

A new story every week

Series that make people come back, announced without you thinking about it

A serial told over several nights, a season of breathing meditations: every new release in the section sends out its own notification automatically. Schedule the upload in advance, and the week runs by itself while you record the next one.

The storyteller

His slow, uneventful stories make up a subscription library; the first three stay free.

The relaxation therapist

Her evening relaxations are reserved for subscribers, and a scheduled message recalls the time of the ritual.

The sleep coach who follows patients

When the job is supporting people, with appointments and individual follow-up, another app fits better.

The price of a sleep meditation app

Premium publishes the app on iPhone and Android; to open the library to subscribers, Memberships comes on top, except on Pro where it is already there. Bandwidth is never billed; storage for your audio files depends on the plan.
Premium · app for iPhone, Android and the web55€ /month, billed yearly
Memberships, on top of Premium49€ /month
Pro · subscriptions already included105€ /month, billed yearly
At Apple as at Google, a commission is withheld from the subscription, often 15%; nothing for GoodBarber. The developer accounts are settled with each store.

Sleep meditation app: frequently asked questions

Does the story keep playing when the screen turns off?

Yes, in the app installed on iPhone or Android, as soon as you switch on sleep-mode playback in the Privacy Center.

Can the evening message go out at the same time every day?

Yes: each notification is scheduled for the date and time you want. Prepare the week's messages in one go, for all listeners or depending on whether they subscribe.

Can stories I release on podcast platforms become paid?

Not those from the imported feed, which stay free. Reserved stories are uploaded straight into GoodBarber; both live side by side in the app.

Can I present the app as a cure for insomnia?

No. Your stories help people unwind at bedtime; they do not treat a sleep disorder and do not replace a doctor's advice. To a listener who has slept badly for a long time, suggest seeing one.

Can a listener try before paying?

Yes, in two ways: the stories you leave free, and a trial period set at Apple and Google, after which the subscription starts unless they cancel it.

Which plan to sell a library of bedtime stories?

Premium with its Memberships extra, or Pro as it is. The web app must be on too, linked to a domain name you own; listeners subscribe from the app installed on their phone.
GoodBarber sells your bedtime stories and sleep meditations by subscription, in an app of your own, with no GoodBarber commission
Reserved audio library, a notification scheduled for bedtime, playback with the screen off, downloaded stories, series announced automatically, a dark palette.
