The 6 p.m. push

Every evening, at the hour people decide where to go

Prepare each evening's notification in advance and schedule it for 6 p.m.: “Tonight: jazz on the rooftop of the Harbor Hotel, techno at the Docks until 5.” It opens tonight's Agenda. Send it only to phones inside the city area you draw, so visitors who left on Sunday aren't disturbed.

The night's agenda

One event per night out, sorted by day

Concert, DJ set, open mic, silent disco: each event has its date, start time, venue, entry price and line-up. Your readers add it to their phone's calendar in one tap and find it again on their way out.

The venues, on the map

Bars, clubs and concert halls, right where your readers are

Each venue is a point with its opening hours, its music style and a photo of the room. Tags like “live music”, “late-night food” or “terrace” sort the map; the way to the venue opens in the phone's maps app. Add night bus stops and taxi ranks: getting home counts too.

Partner coupons

Free entry before midnight, for your app's members

With Couponing, a partner club offers free entry before midnight: you set the validity dates, the number of coupons available and a single use per member. The member shows the coupon on their phone at the door. Coupons require an account in the app, so the Authentication extension.

Nightlife app: questions from night guides

Do readers need an account to see tonight's events?

No: the agenda, the map and the notifications are open to all. Only coupons ask readers to sign in.

How do venues get their events into the app?

They fill in a form with the date, the time, the line-up and the poster; each submission reaches you by email, and you publish it in the Agenda.

Can people buy party tickets in the app?

No: ticketing stays with the venue or its ticketing service. The event can include a link to the page where tickets are sold.

How does a partner check a coupon?

The member shows it on their phone at the door. When you create it, you set the number of coupons, their dates and a single use per member.

Can partner venues pay to be featured?

Yes, through an arrangement between you and them, outside the app: the internal ad server then shows their banner on the dates agreed.
