Create a photo club app
Photography club app: outings in the agenda, monthly contests and a members' gallery
Members sign up for outings, send their images to the contest from their phone and find the club's private area; the public discovers the gallery and the slideshows.
A camera club, or the photo section of an association or a staff social club, brought together in a mobile app for iPhone and Android, made without coding: photo outings in an agenda, internal contests through a form, the members' gallery published by the club, audiovisual slideshows on video and an area reserved for members.

The monthly contest
One theme, one form, and the members' images reach the club
Announce the theme, “reflections”, “the city at night”, “portraits without faces”, then open a Form section reserved for members: the image title, a file field for the photo, a few words on how it was shot. Each entry reaches you by email and is stored in the back office, ready to export as CSV for the jury. The results then appear in an article, and the winning images join the gallery.

Photo outings
Each outing in the agenda, with the place, the time and the gear to bring
A blue-hour walk along the harbor, a macro outing at the botanical garden, a weekend in the mountains: each outing becomes an Agenda event, with the meeting point, the time and the recommended gear (tripod, filters, lens). The address opens in the phone's navigation app, and a push scheduled for the evening before brings the outing back to mind.

A contest, from announcement to results
Four stages, set up from the back office.
Announce
The theme and the deadline in an article, and a push to members on opening day.Collect
The contest form, reserved for the members' group, with one file field per image.Judge
The entries, gathered in the back office, go before the jury.Publish
The results in an article, the winning images in the gallery, a push to everyone.
The members' gallery
The club's strongest images, chosen and published by the committee
The committee picks members' images, publishes them in a gallery section, by outing or by contest, and credits each author in the caption. This gallery stays open to the public: it is what makes people want to walk through the club's door. Publish with the author's agreement, and that of anyone recognizable in the picture.

Slideshows and multimedia projects
The club's slideshows set to sound, on video in the app
The season's audiovisual slideshow, the group documentary on the neighborhood, the end-of-year screening: publish them as videos, open to all or in a section reserved for members. Playback is not billed as bandwidth; the files use your plan's storage.

Club life, in the same app
The members' area
Meeting minutes, the workshop schedule, contest rules: sections only the members' group can open.
Technical workshops
Image critique, studio, editing: the notes from each session, published as an article.
Targeted messages
A push can target only the members' group, or a smaller group, such as the people signed up for a workshop weekend.
Several officers
The president, the outings lead and the contest lead each have their own back office access: three accounts on Premium, no limit on Pro.
Newcomers
A public form collects membership requests, sent on to the committee by email.
AI working for the committee
Three uses for the club, and their cost.
To prepare the outing
Golden hour at the meeting point
Picture a section that gives the day's golden hour and blue hour for the outing's location: you describe it, and the AI Extension Builder generates it for the club's app.

“Until when can we send an image to the contest?”
The Chatbot finds the date in the contest's event or article and replies in the asker's own language.

To announce the results
The results article, prepared by your assistant
Give Claude or ChatGPT the list of winning images and the jury's comments: through MCP, it prepares the results article and the announcement push, which you review before anything is published.
Included
The town's camera club
Two outings a month, a monthly contest, a yearly exhibition at the town hall: the agenda and the form carry most of it.
A company's photo section
Staff photographers form a group of their own; the images from the spring outing are published for all their colleagues.
The photography magazine
To sell reviews and tutorials to readers rather than run a club for members, the photography magazine app is built for that.
Photography magazine appHow much does a photo club app cost?
To publish the club's app on the stores, you need the Premium plan. The members' area relies on Authentication and User groups, two options with Premium, already part of Pro. Agenda, forms, galleries, videos and push add nothing to the bill.
| Premium · the club's app, on mobile and the web | 55€ /month, billed yearly |
| Authentication, with Premium | 12€ /month |
| User groups, with Premium | 5€ /month |
| Pro · Authentication and User groups included | 105€ /month, billed yearly |
Dues are still settled outside the app, as they are now. Apple and Google bill their own developer accounts.
Extension Store
The club draws on the Form, the Agenda, videos, push notifications, the AI Extension Builder, the Chatbot and MCP; the members' area adds Authentication and User groups, options with Premium, included in Pro.
Photography club app: questions from committees
Can we collect membership dues in the app?
No. The club's app runs on accounts and groups, a setup that rules out the subscription sold through the stores; an in-app purchase only ever opens content anyway. Dues are paid as they are today, and the committee adds the member to the group once they are settled.
How does a new member get into the club's area?
They create an account in the app; you add them to the members' group from the back office. Until then, they only see the public sections: gallery, outings open to all, contact.
Can a member send several images to the contest?
Yes: add as many file fields as images allowed, three for instance, and make the first one required. Each entry reaches you by email.
Can members vote for the images?
The app has no voting module. The simplest option remains a jury appointed by the club. For a people's choice award, a second form with a drop-down list of image numbers collects each person's pick, which you count in the CSV export.
Can we notify only the people signed up for an outing?
Yes, by putting them in a user group for the outing: a push targeted at that group reaches only them, right away or at a scheduled time.
What budget should a photo club plan for its app?
The Premium plan for the store apps, plus Authentication and User groups; with Pro, both are included. For the gallery and the videos, storage is 10 GB on Premium and 50 GB on Pro.
