Create a restaurant loyalty app
Restaurant loyalty app: a stamp card, coupons and offers sent by push
Diners sign up to your restaurant in the app, earn a stamp with every meal, keep your coupons in their account and hear about your offers by notification before you open.
Your restaurant in an app of its own on your diners' phones, with no code to write: a loyalty card stamped by QR code or inside the dining room, dated coupons, levels for your regulars, an area reserved for your inner circle of guests and notifications that fill your quiet services.

Tenth meal, dessert's on the house
A loyalty card in the phone, stamped at the counter or at the table
With the Loyalty card, every meal earns a stamp: the diner scans the QR code at the counter, printed from the back office, or validates the stamp in the app while inside the area you drew around the restaurant. You choose the number of stamps, the reward and its expiry date, then a minimum delay between two validations, so one lunch only counts once. If you run several places, the same QR code displayed in each one fills the same card.

Coupons for the services that need more guests
Tuesday lunch, the first dinner sitting: a dated discount, limited in number
Couponing creates the offer you want to see used: a gentler-priced lunch menu on Tuesdays, coffee on the house at the 6:30 p.m. sitting, a dessert for the first thirty who claim it. Each coupon has its dates and its quantity, and works once per diner; it stays in the diner's account until they show it at the till, where your staff redeems it.

From first visit to regular: the journey in the app
What your diner goes through, step by step, and what you set up once.
They sign up to your restaurant
They download the app from the QR code on the table and create an account: that account holds their card and their coupons. They collect stamps
One stamp per meal, by QR code at the counter or from the app inside the restaurant's area. They get your offers
A notification before service announces the coupon of the week; they find it in their account. They become a regular
The Club card moves them up a level, with the perk you tied to that level.
The offer goes out before service, not after
Notifications scheduled for 11 a.m., sent to the neighborhood or to your regulars
Write the dish-of-the-day notification in the morning and schedule it for 11 a.m.; the weekend one leaves on Friday at 4 p.m. Target a geographic area, the town you are in rather than the whole country, or a single group of diners. Every coupon can be announced this way, without relying on a social network's algorithm.

Levels for your regulars, a section for your inner circle
The Club card ranks your diners; a user group opens what others don't see
Stamps feed the Club card: three levels, shipped as Silver, Gold and Premium and renamed to your taste, such as Guest, Regular and Friend of the house, each with its perk. For your best customers, create a user group and a section reserved for it: the seasonal menu revealed a week before it reaches the tables, the invitation to the chef's dinner. You are the one who places accounts in that group, from the back office.

A loyalty app, an ordering app or a delivery platform?
GoodBarber offers two apps for a restaurant; here is what each one does, next to a delivery platform.
| GoodBarber loyalty app | GoodBarber eCommerce app | Delivery platform | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stamp card and coupons for the dining room | yes, that's its job | points program on orders | depending on the platform |
| Online ordering and payment | no | takeaway and delivery | yes |
| Notifications to your customers | scheduled, by area or by group | at every stage of the order | depending on the platform |
| Commission on your sales | nothing is sold in the app | 0% GoodBarber, payment fees only | a share of each order |
| Your customer list | in your back office | in your back office | depending on the platform |

What runs a restaurant's loyalty. The Loyalty card, Couponing and the Club card are paid whatever the plan; Authentication and User groups are paid with Premium and come free with Pro; the map, the agenda and push notifications are free.
How much does a restaurant loyalty app cost?
Native apps start with the Premium plan. Loyalty relies on Authentication, included in Pro, and on two options billed on both plans: the Loyalty card and Couponing. Notifications, the location map and the agenda are included.
| Premium · iOS, Android and web version | 55€ /month, billed yearly |
| Authentication, with Premium | 12€ /month |
| Loyalty card, with Premium | 8€ /month |
| Couponing, with Premium | 6€ /month |
| Pro · Authentication and groups at no extra cost | 105€ /month, billed yearly |
Nothing is sold in the app, so no commission applies. Apple and Google bill their developer accounts themselves.
Restaurant loyalty app: your questions
Can diners order and pay in this app?
No: the loyalty app brings diners back to your tables; it has no cart and no payment. For takeaway and delivery, GoodBarber offers the eCommerce app, with pickup slots, delivery zones and no GoodBarber commission on orders.
What does it mean to subscribe to a restaurant in the app?
Creating a free account, which holds the diner's loyalty card, coupons and level. A paid subscription doesn't belong here: in-app purchase exists solely to unlock content, and it runs on another sign-in system, which removes the Loyalty card and coupons.
How do I stop two stamps for the same meal?
Set a minimum delay between two validations, for example four hours: a diner who scans twice during lunch only gets one stamp.
Can a diner get a stamp without going to the counter?
Yes: inside the area you draw around the restaurant, they validate the stamp from the app. That validation only works within the area; the QR code at the counter remains the other way.
Is this app right for a caterer delivering office lunches?
A caterer receiving requests for its services will find the right app on the caterers page. This page is for the restaurant that wants diners back at its tables.
Which plan and options does loyalty need?
Premium to appear on the stores, plus three options: Authentication, the Loyalty card and Couponing. User groups power the regulars' section, the Club card the levels. With Pro, Authentication and groups are already there.
