A private space for each couple

The wedding film, visible to the newlyweds and the relatives you add, and to no one else

With Authentication, the newlyweds create an account; with User groups, you put them in a group named after them, then restrict their wedding's Videos section to that group: trailer, full film, speeches, first dance. Parents and the best man or maid of honor can join the same group. Other users of the app see none of it.

From the shoot to delivery: what you do, in practice

Four steps in the back office.
  1. The couple's group

Create a group named after the newlyweds as soon as the contract is signed, and add their accounts when they sign up.
  2. The reserved section

Add a Videos section, open to that group only.
  3. The trailer, then the film

Upload the teaser a few days after the wedding, and the full film when the edit is done.
  4. The message to the couple

A push targeted at their group says the film is online; other users receive nothing.

Your showcase for future clients

Public highlights, and a quote request in a few fields

The public part of the app shows your work: highlights from weddings and events, with the consent of the people filmed, and a page on your packages. A form collects requests: date, venues, guest count, type of film wanted. The request lands in your back office, and you reply with a quote, as you do today.

The family can watch the film as often as they like

Bandwidth isn't billed, even when every relative watches

A wedding film gets watched the night they're back, then at Christmas, then on every anniversary. These viewings aren't counted against you: GoodBarber doesn't bill bandwidth. Only disk space follows your plan; size it according to how many films you leave online.

How much does a videographer's app cost?

The Premium plan puts your app on iPhone and Android; to open a space for each client, it takes two options, Authentication (the accounts) and User groups (the access), which the Pro plan includes. Videos, forms and notifications come at no extra cost.
Premium · iOS, Android and web version55€ /month, billed yearly
Authentication, on top of Premium12€ /month
User groups, on top of Premium5€ /month
Pro · Authentication and User groups included105€ /month, billed yearly
Bandwidth is never billed; storage for your films depends on the plan, and is larger on Pro. Apple and Google invoice their developer accounts themselves.

Wedding videographer app: frequently asked questions

Does each couple see only their own film?

Yes: their Videos section is restricted to their group, and a user placed in no group opens no reserved section. Access is set by group and by section, not video by video.

Can my clients download the film?

In the app, the film plays online. To hand over the high-definition file, keep your usual transfer tool; the app is for watching, sharing with family and coming back to the film.

Do my clients pay in the app?

No: the app sells nothing. Clients pay you for the shoot and the edit under your contract; the app is where you hand them the film.

Could I sell my films by subscription instead?

Memberships sells the same access to a whole audience; it replaces the groups, and an app can't have both. To deliver a specific film to a specific client, groups are the right way.

How long does the film stay online?

For as long as you leave it in its section. Set the duration in your contract, two years for example, then remove it or keep it as agreed.

Which plan for a videographer's app?

Pro, which covers accounts and groups, spares you the options; with Premium, add both (Authentication, User groups). The more films you keep online, the more Pro's storage space matters.
